What to Do: Schroon Lake attracted well-healed vacationers in the heyday of Adirondack tourism, and thereís plenty of history within the township borders. Thanks to its Adirondack setting, you can also grab the chance to downhill ski or cross-country ski; the municipal golf course also doubles as a beginnerís ski center in the winter. More experienced skiers will enjoy the challenges offered at nearby Gore Mountain.
