Lake George Area Vacation Rentals in Lake Luzerne

Lake Luzerne should not be confused with its Swiss sound-alike, Lake Lucerne, or even with the #Queen of American Lakes to the north, Lake George.  But at only 11 miles south of Lake George, its a great place for a vacation rental.

Where: Lake George is entirely within the Adirondack State Park, about an hour north of Albany.  Lake Luzerne, in turn, is only about 56 miles north of Albany.  It is home to the Rockwell Falls; as the Hudson River wends its way south to the Hudson River, it passes through Lake Luzerne.

About Lake Luzerne: Lake Luzerne has been hosting visitors for a very long time; it was where President Grant went after the Civil War to rest up a bit.  A little further on in the stream of time, it was a popular spot for dude ranches.  Today, the remains of this legacy exist in the form of a rodeo and some riding stables.

Other activities for the prospective vacation rental visitor exist in and around the Lake Luzerne area.  Sporty types will be glad to note the existence of facilities for tennis and basketball and a golf course.  For an adrenaline rush, consider white water rafting or a snowmobile ride in the winter.  Shopping, craft shows, and a famous music camp round out the varied attractions of Lake Luzerne.
