Cooperstown NY: Choose Your Own Title
Titling a blog post about Cooperstown, New York, is hard to do. Call it an embarrassment of riches. Do you focus on the National Baseball Hall of Fame, located in Cooperstown itself? Do you go all highbrow and start off with the Glimmerglass Opera and Festival? Or do you opt for quirky and mention the Dollhouse Museum, filled with miniaturized examples of American architecture?
Let’s play it safe and say that, if you can’t decide what you want in a town, go to Cooperstown. It’s a nice spot for a vacation rental home, whether you’re into high notes or fly balls. If you’d rather spent your time outside, there’s also the foothills of the Catskills to practice your hunting and fishing skills. And two hours to the north starts the serene beauty and fabled wineries of the Finger Lakes region. So from a vacation rental in Cooperstown, you can do just about everything but go tanning on the Jersey shore. (You can, however, tan on the shores of Otsego Lake in the summertime.)
Cooperstown has it all: art, music, baseball, cars, lakes, mountains (or foothills, anyway). It’s part of New York’s heritage, part of baseball’s folklore, and we hope a part of your future vacation plans!
