This serene setting is located on 3 quiet/wooded acres, 5 minutes from the center of Woodstock, in the heart of the Catskill Mountains. This is a great spot for weekend getaways, extended holidays and summer vacations. This fully-equipped home is good for families with young children(there's a play area w/swings, slide, sandbox, etc & plenty of room to run around), or couples seeking a romantic interlude. A special feature is an authentic wood-fired Finnish Sauna & a natural Springfed "plunge pond" just outside the door, providing a great way to soothe sore/tired muscles after a day on the ski slopes or to calm the weary spirit after a long week at home or in the office. The area features attractions such as skiing, hiking, cycling, horseback riding, swimming, shopping,antiquing, as well as great restaurants, theater, live music and galleries. In other words, there's something for everyone in Woodstock/The Colony of the Arts.

    This is a great area for people into horses and riding w/ several stables accessible locally. Massage Therapy, at the house or the Riverrock Spa (5 min drive from the house) is close at hand. Great Saturday morning storytime program for young ones at the Woodstock Library. The Summertime Outdoor Shakespeare Festival(Wknds)is a great (family) event. Make Reservations early @ The Bear Cafe (Bearsville), just down the road, for a sumptuous dinner streamside. Afterward, check out The Bearsville Theater for great music events. Don't miss Opus Forty, a remarkable bluestone sculpture environment created (by hand) by the artist Harvey Fite,over forty years of his life. Great Skiing:Hunter, Bellayre, Windham(particularly good for families/kids),is within a short drive (30-40 mins). *FourWheel/FrontWheel drive is always preferable during the winter months*
