This is a wonderful old Alexandria Bay, Thousand Islands, home that looks out on Otter Creek and the St. Lawrence River. Very private 4 bedroom, 2 bath, house with quiet dockage in front that leads straight out to the Saint Lawrence Seaway and famous Boldt Castle. The entire house was remodeled from A to Z in 2007 and was painted in the spring of 2008.
Some guests have had good luck fishing right off the dock.
Boldt Castle on Hart Island, in front of Alexandria Bay, is only 5 minutes away by boat. You can walk to all of the activities in the town of Alexandria Bay or drive to nearby Clayton for the Antique Boat Museum or Recreation Park events. Whether it is a classic or antique boat show, mororcycle rally, poker run with the powerful cigarette boats, "Blues in the Bay", Pirates Week, winery tours, antique or craft shows, there is always something going on in the area.
Canada is just a few miles away. Fishing with local guides or in your own boat is at your fingertips. Dockage for your boat is on the dock in front of the house.
The first floor bathroom has an ADA approved shower stall, toilet and sink. One of the 4 bedrooms is on the first floor for easy access. This is a disabilaty friendly rental with some New York State code features.
The nextdoor townhouse, at 16 Otter Street, is part of the same complex. These 2 units also have dockage and decks. If you check out Homeaway.com/216277 you can find some details.
Waterview, water access, fishing, nearby activities, quiet dockage, off-street parking, near golf or Canadian gambling, privacy, and pet friendly, are words to help discribe the property. This house or the nextdoor duplex make a comfortable family vacation destination and retreat.
