Located on 37 private acres in the Catskill Mountains, Big Indian Retreat commands a spectacular view and offers a unique atmosphere and outdoor beauty. Formerly a ballet camp, this Victorian homestead is both grand and rustic. (Sorry - Not available for high school parties.)

We actually exceed the standard numbers for size: we have 21 bedrooms and can accommodate 40 overnight guests.

We have 2 large living rooms, one with a stone fireplace, and one with a wood stove, our own auditorium with stage, and wrap-around porch. We have an in-ground swimming pool, an old tennis court, volleyball court, a pond for boating and swimming, bordering the Esopus creek for fishing.

Nearby: Esopus river for tubing and fishing, golf, lake with public beach, excellent hiking trails, skiing, horseback riding, train rides, driving range, miniature golf, concerts in the summer.
