The Teahouse Cottage on Woodstock's Sawkill Stream.
The Teahouse Cottage is on an artist's estate walking distance to Woodstock Village. The cottage overlooks a gorgeous trout stream and across the river is a 75 acre park with walking trails. The bus from New York city stops a half mile from the cottage.
Originally built in the 1870's as a small barn on the estate. The cottage was fully renovated in 2007, new bath, new kitchen, hardwood floors. The exposed hand hewn beams have been retained and make it a most charming, small and cozy residence. Cottage is about 20 feet by 14 feet plus the sleeping loft. French doors open on to the deck which overlooks the river.
This is a one room studio cottage with ladder to the sleeping loft which has a queen size pillow top mattress. A double Murphy bed was built in this year for those who do not care for a loft bed. Broadband internet and basic cable are included.
