Enjoy this peaceful setting at your doorstep when you visit our fully furnished, modern log cabin located in historic Schoharie County. We are on NYS snowmobile trail S71 and amazing and senic hiking trails. The cabin sits on our 500 acre farm on a quiet country road in the mountains only four miles to the village of Middleburgh in the Northern Catskills. Minutes from Partridge Run Wildlife Management Unit for fishing and hunting, Minekill State Park, the Old Stone Fort, the Iriquois Museum, Howe Caverns, Thatcher Park, Cobleskill Golf Course, Cooperstown Hall of Fame, Gobbler's Knob Family Fun Park, Go Kart Driving, Horseback riding, the Zoom Flume Waterslide Park, and much more. OR, if you choose, there is a wonderful large porch and yard at the cabin to just totally relax and regain your inner peace. Our cabin was built exclusively for your comfort and convenience and has a beautiful fireplace for those long evenings to relax away your cares. Guests are responsible for the care and maintenance of the cabin during their stay. No maid service is available. Bring your own food and personal items. There is a washer and dryer in the cabin

Our cabin offers the best of both worlds...you can be totally isolated from the 'outside world's' hustle & bustle or you can get totally involved if you choose. There are music festivals, operas, downhome country fairs, farm roadside markets, quaint shops and a wealth of other avenues to explore. Our village was settled in 1712 and offers abundant history of the Revolution of our great nation. On the northern edge of the Catskill Mountains in New York's Leatherstocking Region, we are only two and a half hours from New York City, forty-five minutes from Albany, an hour from Cooperstown and just a short drive from many attractions to interest all visitors.
Places to Swim and horseback ride in the Area: There is a water slide park - The Zoom Flume - 20 minutes from the cabin in East Durham and Thacher Park is 20 minutes away toward Albany and Minekill State Park has a wonderful swimming area - 20 minutes away in North Blenheim. There is fishing at the many State ponds nearby - Partridge Run Wildlife Management Unit - a wonderful place to fish and picnic - only 15 miinutes from the cabin. There is horseback riding only 45 minutes away in Hobart, NY.
Places to Ski: There are opportunities to Ski at Windam Mountain just 30 miles from the cabin and Hunter Mountain is only 39 miles from here. Both areas are wonderful for skiing.
Places to Hike in the Area: We have 500 scenic and private wonderful acres to explore and many trails to hike on in addition to a trail down in the Village of Middleburgh known as Vroman's Nose, a short hike for the entire family ending in a spectacular view of the Middleburgh Valley.
Golf: There is a lovely golf course in Cobleskill, only 11 miles from the cabin and another one in Greenville, just a 30 minute drive from us. There is a wonderful miniature golf course and go-cart racing at Gobbler's Knob just 15 minutes away

Our cabin is a perfect place to connect with the "real world" away from cell phones, internet service, television and DVD's and anything that drives our daily lives into a "frenzy". Here you can truly enjoy conversations with each other, play board games (without an electric cord attached) or simply curl up with a good book. Listen to Nature and wind gently blowing through the trees, see the stars at night that sparkle brighter than you can imagine. For the more energized among you, there are wonderful hiking trails throughout our 500 acres, so private and amazing, to hike to your heart's content. You should consider packing a delicious picnic basket to take on your hike. as well In the evenings as you sit and relax, you can dream away your cares while you watch the flames dance in the fire. A truly memorable experience you won't soon forget.
