Exploring the Hamptons: Westhampton Beach

Westhampton Beach is just a bit further south than its sister town of Westhampton - right on the beach, as its name declares.  That makes it an ideal setting for a vacation rental home, especially for surfers, boaters, fishers, and all others who love to splash in the waves of the Atlantic Ocean.

What to Do:  Westhampton Beach is a neighborhood of Westhampton and part of the Hamptons.  That means there is no shortage of vacation fun, from golfing to shopping.  There’s an active food scene, and a farmer’s market in Westhampton Beach that runs from May to November (check out the chamber of commerce web site for opening and closing dates).  Westhampton Beach also has a lively art scene, as vacation rental owners and guests alike know.  There is the Arts & Crafts Show, which takes place twice a year, Spring and Fall.  (Again, visit the Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce site for more details.)  There’s also the Mary O. Fritchie Outdoor Juried Fine Art Show in August.  If all this gets you in the mood to wield your own paintbrush, visit Studio Art for classes in creating a DIY masterpiece.

Getting Here:  Westhampton Beach is approximately 25 miles east from Long Island Airport and 65 miles east from New York City.
