Wells, New York Vacation Rentals

What and Where:  The town of Wells is located on the shoreline of Lake Algonquin in Hamilton County.  It’s entirely contained in the Adirondack Park.  Northville is 17 miles away, on the northern fork of Great Sacandaga Lake.  Albany is 1.5 hours south and Plattsburgh is 2 hours north; these are likely to be your top choices for air travel hubs if you are flying in.  The Vermont state line is approximately 2 hours east of Wells.

Wells and the Wilderness:  As part of Hamilton County, Wells enjoys scenery that is a happy blend of lake and mountain.  Hamilton County is the third-largest county in New York State, and it also preserves much of the wilderness character of the Adirondack Mountain Range.
