Upper Saranac Lake Area Vacation Rentals

Upper Saranac Lake - the large and sprawling big sister of Middle and Lower Saranac Lakes - is located by Saranac Lakes Wild Forest.  It’s in that corner of North America that is heavily speckled with lakes of all kinds - and a mountain range or several.

Where to Stay:  The village of Saranac Lake is about 18 miles from the shores of Upper Saranac Lake.  Another hamlet, Saranac Inn, is located to the north of Upper Saranac Lake, while the village of Coreys is to the south.

Where is Upper Saranac Lake?  Upper Saranac Lake, which covers over 5,000 acres and has a shoreline of about 37 miles, is located approximately 155 miles north of Albany.  Plattsburgh, which is home to an International Airport, is 67 miles northeast.  Upper Saranac Lake is about 2 hours east of Lake Ontario at Sackets Harbor, 2.5 hours south of Montreal, and 3 hours southeast of Ottawa.  Manhattan and the rest of New York City is the furthest away: 5.5 hours.
