Vacation Rentals in Turin, New York

Turin is north of Rome and not all that far from Mexico - at least, it is when it’s the Turn in Lewis County, New York.  A vacation rental, whether condo or villa, cabin or lodge, is an excellent way to turn this New York town into a home base, especially if you love to ski or stroll in the great outdoors.

Where:  Turin is a bit out of the way of major New York cities; Albany is 134 miles southwest, while New York City is nearly 300 miles south.  Syracuse is comparatively close, at 75 miles.  If you want to fly in, Syracuse Hancock International Airport is a good choice.  Sackets Harbor and Lake Ontario are 50 miles away.

Why:  Visitors to this part of New York are treated to a scenery that combines the rolling Adirondack Mountains with the eastern edge of the Great Lakes.  It’s especially good for hiking, boating, and cruising down the network of mountain trails in an ATV.

Skiing: Without a doubt, skiing is essential to Turin tourism.  After all, the town is home to Snow Ridge Ski Resort.  Snow Ridge is made up of 3 mountains, 4 chairlifts, and 22 trails, ranked from easy to most difficult.  It has a 500-foot vertical drop and 130 ski-able acres.
