New York City is 80 miles or more to the west, but if you want to visit the well-heeled Hamptons, they’re just round the bay. A 15-mile drive will take you there.
What to Do and See: Bordering two bays and with Long Island Sound nearby, you can bet that water sports are a popular draw to Long Island’s North Fork.
