SoHo stands for shopping.  Okay, actually SoHo stands for South of Houston Street, but it’s known far and wide as a landing place for the highest of fashion, home to purveyors of everything from luxury goods to funky boutique styles.  So if you’re a fashionista at heart - or you’ll be traveling with one - book a vacation rental in SoHo, break out the credit cards, and be prepared to shop til you drop (or run out of money, whichever happens first).

Manhattan Neighborhood Search: SoHo

Aside from the Houston Street reference in SoHo’s moniker, this neighborhood is designated by its proximity to other well-known Manhattan enclaves.  To the north, there’s NoHo (North of Houston Street) and Greenwich Village.  Little Italy, Nolita (North of Little Italy), and Chinatown are to the east of SoHo.  To the west, there’s South Village and Hudson Square, and Tribeca (Triangle Below Canal Street) takes up the southern border.

Did we mention shopping?  From your SoHo vacation rental, you’re near to designer store galore.  If your personal style is a little retro, check out the neighborhood’s vintage fashion stores.  Are you a fashion devotee on a budget?  SoHo also plays home to some upscale resale stores.  Non-fashionistas will appreciate the cast-iron architecture of the area and the many, many restaurants, and cafes.  There’s also a happening art scene.
