Vacation Rental Homes In Seaford, Long Island

Searching for a vacation rental home, apartment, or condo in the New York area isn’t always easy.  Before you embark on that decision, it’s best to pick the exact region and neighborhood where you want to stay.  If you’re interested in exploring the South Shore of Long Island, you may want to make Seaford your home base.

About Seaford:  Seaford, which opens into Oyster Bay and is not far from either Long Beach or Fire Island, has a rich history.  It had a special place as an agricultural stronghold; today, Old Bethpage Village Restoration captures what life was life in this area in the 19th century.

Seaford has gone through a couple name changes.  It was known as Jerusalem South and later as Seaman’s Neck.  The latter name is honored at Seaman’s Neck Park.

Where:  Seaford is a town of approximately 16,000 people in Nassau County, Long Island.  It’s part of the South Shore region of Long Island; nearby communities include Massapequa, North Baltimore, Freeport, and Levittown.  It’s roughly halfway in between Manhattan and Islip, so you can choose to fly in to one of three airports:  JFK or LaGuardia in the NYC borough of Queens, or Long Island Airport in Ronkonkoma-Islip.
