Vacation Rentals in Raquette Lake

A vacation rental home, apartment, or villa is an ideal way to explore the Adirondacks region of New York.  You can go hiking in the mountains, ski down the slopes, fish in the lakes, or just spend some time relaxing.

What:  Raquette Lake is the name of a hamlet, which just happens to be on the shores of Raquette Lake itself.  Nearby there is the town (and lake) of Long Lake; technically, Raquette Lake is within the borders of the town of Long Lake.

Raquette Lake is just north of the Fulton Chain Lakes. It has nearly 100 miles of shoreline, and most of that is owned by New York State.  Instead of being built up with homes and cottages, it can be enjoyed in its original natural state.  That means lots of space to hike, boat, fish or camp.

Where:  Raquette Lake is definitely off the beaten path, but that’s worth it for seeking out peace and quiet in a natural setting.  Here’s a rundown of the nearest major towns and landmarks:

Ÿ  Syracuse is 2.5 hours southwest.

Ÿ  Lake Ontario and Sackets Harbor is a little over 2 hours to the west.

Ÿ  Lake Champlain and Ticonderoga are a about 2 hours to the east.

Ÿ  Montreal is 3.5 hours north.

Ÿ  Albany is a bit more than 2 hours to the south.
