Vacation Home Rentals in Pleasant Lake

Every year sees visitors flocking to the Adirondacks.  The combination of mountains and clear, baroquely shaped lakes is irresistible, especially if you’d like a side of peace and quiet to go along with your vacation rental home, apartment, or villa.  Pleasant Lake lies in the heart of the Adirondacks and it combines the best of both mountain and lake vacationing.

Where:  Pleasant Lake is entirely within the township of Stratford, a 76-square mile chunk of the Adirondack Park.  It’s approximately 75 miles northwest of Albany.  Saratoga Springs is about 55 miles to the east, while Syracuse and the Finger Lakes are about 90 miles east of Pleasant Lake.

About the Pleasant Lake Area:  Stratford and Pleasant Lake are part of Fulton County.  Fulton County’s claim to fame is summed up in the tagline of its website:  Land of 44 Lakes.  At least eight of those 44 lakes are relatively unique; they belong to the Fulton Chain Lakes, a semi-interconnected lake system that terminates not too far from Lake Champlain.  The county is also famous for its winter sports, including cross-country skiing (aka Nordic skiing).  If you come during the non-snow months, you’ll still find plenty to do in Fulton County; other attractions range from a speedway to a blueberry farm.
