Paul Smiths:  The Adirondack Town With Two Names

It starts off with the string of lakes in the area.  These include Onchiota, Rainbow Lake, Upper St. Regis Lake, and Lake Clear.  It’s not all that far from Lake Champlain - less than 60 miles.  Debar Mountain is 22 miles away, as is Lake Placid.  McKenzie Mountain and Whiteface Mountain are just the other side of Lake Placid.  And Saranac Lake is 12 miles to the north.
