Bridging the Gap from Catskill to Hudson at Olivebridge

A vacation rental in the little hamlet of Olivebridge, New York, will put you in the heart of the Catskills.  In fact, Olivebridge forms a part of the town of Olive, a sprawling 40,000 acre plot completely within Catskill Park.  Olivebridge is located on the shores of Ashokan Reservoir, which in turn divides the town of Olive lengthwise.  The Ashokan Reservoir was created by damming Esopus Creek, and it’s a significant player in the local scenery.

Going back to the two-destinations-for-one idea, a vacation rental in Olivebridge is also a convenient base for exploring the towns on the Hudson River, especially the western bank.  Olivebridge is about 17 miles west of Kingston and the Hudson River.  It’s about 70 miles south of Albany and approximately 100 miles north of Manhattan.  In other words, it’s a great place to start your vacation!
