Explore Long Island’s North Fork: Jamesport Vacation Rentals
Did you know there are more than 35 wineries located in the North Fork region of Long Island? Given that the region is only about 30 miles long, that’s quite a number! Whether you book your Jamesport vacation rental for spring flowers, summertime seafaring, autumn vineyard tours and harvests, or the shopping and browsing of winter, you’ll enjoy your stay at historic Jamesport!
Where: Jamesport is between the hamlets of Aquebogue and Laurel, at the western end of the North Fork. It’s just south of Northville, and the Great Peconic Bay makes up the village’s southern border. The community of South Jamesport is covered separately on this website; be sure to look there for information on renting a vacation home or cottage as well.
Jamesport is approximately 35 miles east of Islip and the Long Island Airport. Queens and its airports, JFK and LaGuardia, are about 70 miles away. It’s also two hours’ drive from Manhattan to the Jamesport area.
What to Do and See: The glitz of the Hamptons borders the North Fork region. But Jamesport and the North Fork provide visitors a sense of reality. Rather than trendy vacation villa owners and wealthy jet-setters, you get a group of people who live here year round and love the farms, vineyards, and beaches of Jamesport. A vacation rental here provides access to Long Island at its rural best.
