Refined Vacationing in Amagansett

In times past, wealthy New Yorkers got away from it all by vacationing in the mountains - preferably the Catskills, Adirondacks, or Berkshires - or by heading to the Atlantic coast in somewhere really off the beaten track - say, Long Island.
